Can you tell us a bit about you?  Background and professional journey

 I am Ibrahima Mbaye but most of my colleague call me “Max”. I’m a maintenance coordinator at Dakar Offshore. Prior to joining Dakar Offshore, I worked in various companies mainly in electricity field.

I started my career as an electrical technician and then transitioned to become a commercial technician. Later, I worked as a maintenance technician and obtained a technician’s certificate in electrical engineering and industrial electronics. I have experience in telecommunication stations network maintenance as well.

Why did you choose Dakar Offshore?

Dakar Offshore is a company that has proven itself in a rapidly emerging sector. The company has managed to overcome obstacles and is currently experiencing a phase of rapid growth. With its presence in multiple promising sectors, including gas and oil, I am eager to contribute to the company’s ongoing evolution and leave my mark on its success.

Can you describe your journey within Dakar Offshore?

I began my career at the company as an assistant to the Operations Manager, overseeing and supervising the construction of an onshore logistics base project.

Following that, I was assigned to the Technical and Operations Department, where I focused on maintenance.

What does your job entail and which challenges do you face in your daily ops?

 My primary responsibility is to manage the assets of Dakar Offshore, including our installed equipment and constructed sites. Each day, we strive to adhere to our maintenance plan while also meeting the needs of our clients. This can be a tedious and demanding task, but it is essential to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and the satisfaction of our customers.
